Create a person, link parents, children, siblings or consorts, then search to explore your graph. Portraits are optional.
The transfer leaves the original copy intact. Each domain has separate local storage. Keep a .hgs backup outside your browser.
The tree, its links and portraits stay in this browser’s local storage; they are not sent to or stored on a Mythoskolis server. Export creates a .hgs file at your request. If you send it to someone, you choose to share it. Optional PIN recovery does not receive genealogical data. Mythoskolis does not verify the accuracy of family trees.
You can protect editing with a PIN. An export with the lock keeps it; an export without the lock removes it. The PIN protects editing but does not encrypt the .hgs file. Email recovery is optional and requires a verified address. Without it, a forgotten PIN cannot be reset. The email address is not stored in clear text in the exported graph.
In the merge workspace, select two .hgs or .myth files. Confirm each shared person, their name and portrait, then any contested links. Name suggestions do not prove identity. The new tree downloads as a separate file; both sources and the tree open in this browser stay unchanged. A protected file requires its PIN. The result may receive a new PIN, without automatically carrying over email recovery.
Use Pass the tree on to prepare a .hgs file for a relative. You can suggest a starting person and optionally include a return email. The address is stored in plain text in the file and visible to recipients. They can extend the tree and send it back; versions of the same tree are recognized on import. The Studio does not send or store the tree on a server.
